"Abrielle puts on an intimate live show,
taking her audiences to places unseen."
After making a name for herself as a local superstar in the seacoast area, she paved her way to bigger stomping grounds. She is currently expanding her presence in the New York area, performing at venues such as Pianos, The West End Lounge, Rockwood Music Hall, and the Metropolitan Pavilion. Abrielle has opened for acclaimed artist Julie Byrne and has performed at major events such as the New York and London Coffee Festival.
Her original work is notable for its endearing, honest emotional content, making the most personal stories relatable. Abrielle puts on an intimate live show, taking her audiences to places unseen. Even her covers, although heard thousands of times over, like everything else she does, sound authentic to her style. Abrielle has been influenced by artists such as Brandi Carlile, Norah Jones, Ryan Adams, John Mayer, Fleetwood Mac, Kacey Musgraves, and James Bay. With her smoky voice, alluring timbre, and hauntingly beautiful style, you’ll be hooked with one listen.
Abrielle released EP, "Eliot," in July of 2015, single, "Picasso Blue," in July of 2016 and recently, her LP, "One Night Only," in August of 2017. Her debut EP was declared “a stunning, five-song compilation,” by Christopher Hislop from Portsmouth Herald/Seacoast Online. Jeanne McCartin also published, "the pipes on Scharff," as "olympic.” Popdust referred to “New York Makes Me Cry,” written for the NY Coffee Music Project, as a “sensitive treatment of well crafted songwriting.”
Scharff finds power in using her music for good cause. In December 2016, she organized and headlined a charity show in which all proceeds from the event were donated to The Chase Home for Children. Abrielle has featured her music through charitable platforms such as the Melodies 4 Water project and Generocksity NYC events. She placed in the top ten of the Brandi Carlile Cover Stories competition in support of War Child International and was runner-up in the Coffee Music Project competition in support of Project Waterfall.
